SSIT Distinguished Lecturer Program
If you are an IEEE leader with responsibility for obtaining speakers for meetings, consider having an SSIT Distinguished Lecturer as your speaker. The SSIT Distinguished Lecturer Program now has nine lecturers who are willing to give presentations on behalf of the Society. Their topics include various aspects of Engineering and Computer Ethics; Ethics Codes; Social and Professional Responsibilities of Engineers and Computer Scientists; Sustainability; Education of Engineers; and Information in Warfare. The program is available to all IEEE entities. Visit the IEEE Distinguished Lecturer Program web page and send an e-mail for an automatic response with a complete list of lecturers and topics.
Note: The IEEE Distinguished Lecturer Program will be transitioning to a web-based system in the future. When this happens, the site will be accessible from the SSIT web page.
If you wish to volunteer as a lecturer or would like to suggest a lecturer or topic, please contact the Program Coordinator, Janet Rochester, at j.rochester@ieee.org.
