ISTAS 2006 - Queens College, Flushing, NY

IEEE-SSIT President Karl Perusich welcomes attendees to the 2006 International Symposium on Technology and Society, June 9, 2006, at Queens College in Flushing Queens. Assoc. Prof. Roberta Brody chaired and hosted this year's ISTAS which included theme tracks on Disaster Preparedness and Recovery.

Jeff Bogumil, a founder and the first President of IEEE-SSIT (1982-1984), gave the plenary address "The Century of Living Dangerously." SSIT celebrates its 25th year as an IEEE Society this year.
